How to Entice More Customers Into Your Sales Funnel

Entice More Customers Into Your Sales Funnel

With so many social media platforms available today, it makes sense to get your business out there and in front of as many people as possible. Your aim is to entice more customers to visit your website or profile.

Having a social media profile is an absolute must in order to have a successful business. However, just having that social media profile is not enough. You have to make it work and keep it updated and active.

Using social media platforms to get the best leads

The vast majority of people, both young and old, are spending more and more time looking at social media. Especially on their cell phones while on the move and during any downtime during their busy days.

There are many reasons for people to look at social media. Often it is not just to connect with friends or colleagues. A lot of people do it for entertainment or to alleviate boredom. Some may look at social media to stop feeling so alone.

It makes sense to take as much advantage of this as possible. You can do this by making posts or videos. To get the best results from your posts or videos, you will need your viewers to like and share them. As such, they will need to be interesting or entertaining or educational rather than totally ‘salesy’. By giving away free information or interesting information, you may find that viewers will start actively looking for your blogs or videos. Especially if they find them entertaining or educational.

Increase your website traffic

What you really want, of course, is to drive good quality traffic to your website. In order to do this, you will need to include links within your blogs or videos. These allow your viewers to go straight to your website. For example, if you were selling or running an affiliate site or a free content site and had advertising for upholstery fabric, you could write a blog about upholstering an armchair or even make an educational video.

You could then lead your viewers to a blog or a video on your website for upholstering a sofa. The idea is that if they are interested in watching or reading about upholstery that they may actually be thinking about doing some. Therefore, they may be looking to buy the fabric and other materials they will need to carry out the job.

To keep your business in the public eye, you will need to release more than just one blog or video a week. Therefore, you may have to do some serious planning so that you are not repeating yourself. Obviously, you can hire a professional blogger or writer to do the writing for you.

Using pop-ups, sign-ups, and customer recommendations

Some of the best ways to capture your viewers' or readers' details are either via a pop-up window. Here you could offer them access to a free weekly/monthly newsletter if they fill in their details. Or use a form or area on your website page asking them to sign up for offers or the aforementioned newsletter.

When you have some potential customer information, the best thing you can have is some lead management software. This will help you keep track of all your potential customer's information as well as your actual customers’ information. You will be able to see all their purchase history from your business as well as the payment methods they prefer.

This is a very handy piece of software. When you wish to release another product or service, with lead management software, you will be able to sell again to your existing customers. This is an audience who may be interested in that particular product or service without having to pay for advertising to entice more customers through your door.

Recommendations and upsells

There are ways to get your existing customers to recommend your business to their friends and families without much effort on your part.

By offering your existing customers discounts or even free samples like they do in restaurants for any new customer, they introduce your business to friends. In giving away free samples of your products, you can also gain extra sales if your customers like what you give.

It makes good sense to give a little to get a big sale. The more freebies you offer, the more sales you could have.
