This is a special episode podcast where I introduce you to a new show I'm part of, the #MagnetMarketers weekly Blab livecast. It's a show live on Blab every Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. EST where I along with Jessika Phillips and April Heavens-Woodcock dive into digital marketing and social media topics that help online marketers discover and be equipped with the latest tools and strategies. This podcast is pulled from the live Blab where we examine what "buyer personas" are, how to develop them and why they are important for businesses to use.

What exactly is a "buyer persona"?
I'll outline it as a refined demographic of the attributes of your ideal target customers. It's a fictional "character" that represents the keys about the client/business/role you are trying to reach with your product or service. It's basically pulling together the common core traits of your best ideal clients and then putting a specific "personality" to that ideal client.
The team at Now Marketing Group says it well:
"Buyer personas are all about knowing who you can help specifically, narrowing a broader range of customers and clients to ones who will really be benefited from your work.
On average, most businesses have at least three total buyer personas they can serve. You can plan them out by starting small and then fine tune them down as you drill down who you can best serve.
You can nail down both positive and negative personas. So both finding people who really do well with what you are offering, and perhaps those clients who you have helped before, but it wasn’t a great fit.
Not everybody is an ideal client!

I’m an Indiana Hoosier native where basketball is the top sport. Every team heads to the locker room at halftime to evaluate the first half and create a updated plan for the second half. That plan includes adjustments based on reviewing what worked and what didn't. The “halftime” is a key review point where the game stops, the team pulls away to huddle in the locker room away from the fans, and they come out prepared and ready to succeed in the second half.
That’s what this podcast is all about, taking the time to pull away for a bit to evaluate, learn, and set some strategies for your business to succeed in the second half. Join me by subscribing and let me be your “business halftime” to help you find great success going forward!
