She is the author of the upcoming book, Will the Real You Please Stand Up: Show Up, Be Authentic, and Prosper in Social Media and she is extremely passionate about sharing how ‘you can do’ social media.

Kim has been named by Forbes as one of the Top 50 Social Media Influencers and a top 20 woman in Social Media. Her blog  kimgarst.com was named a winner of Social Media Examiner’s Top 10 Social Media Blogs the past 2 years. She was also named the #1 Social Media Blogger by Kred.com, and there's only 283,000+ people following her on Twitter!!

We connected this past year at Social media marketing world, and I know that 1 of my highlights was Fish Tacos on South Beach at Josh Parkinson of Post Planner's favorite joints.  We had quite a crew there with Ian Cleary and his wife, Emeric Ernoult of AgoraPulse, Tyler Anderson of Casual Friday's, Donna Moritz of Socially Sorted.  That was fun!

It's all about keeping it practical, doable, and leading edge here so you can grow more leads and sales online!  Just about every week we take a "halftime break" to dive into online and social media marketing tips/tactics/ and methods for owners and marketers to give you ACTIONABLE items to implement right away.

3-2-1 Countdown Tips from Kim:

If you were going to give 3 "first-step" tips to a business struggling with Facebook Reach, what would they be?

  1. Content strategy & mix
  2. The need for Consistent Posting

- Kim recommends 4-6x per day.

  1. Engage!

- To build rapport you must respond back and interact.  You reach that person but also those watching and it ultimately builds more rapport, credibility, and trust that yields long term results

2 key TIPS on how to measure success for Facebook Marketing?

- It's not always about the numbers, but about the relationship!  Remember that!

- Do pay attention to what they engage with!  Are videos working more than links?  Are links to your site getting more engagement than text posts?

1 Mobile App that should be considered that can help marketers with Facebook visuals?

Why the Halftime theme Mike?

I’m a Indiana Hoosier native where basketball is the top sport. Every team heads to the locker room at halftime to evaluate the first half and create a updated plan for the second half. That plan includes adjustments based on reviewing what worked and what didn’t.

The “halftime” is a key review point where the game stops, the team pulls away to huddle in the locker room away from the fans, and they come out prepared and ready to succeed in the second half.
That’s what this podcast is all about, taking the time to pull away for bit to evaluate, learn, and set some strategies for your business to succeed in the second half. Join me by subscribing and let me be your “business halftime” to help you find great success going forward!
